Abstract
Systemic lupus erythematosus is an autoimmune disease which has a predilection for women in the childbearing age. Its protean manifestations are often confusing, its diagnosis may be difficult, and its course may be unpredictable. Individuals with mild diseases have a better prognosis than patients afflicted with active central nervous system, renal, or serosal disease.
Management of systemic lupus erythematosus during pregnancy need not differ from that in the nonpregnant state. However immunosuppressive therapy should not be diminished or discontinued during pregnancy.
We report a case of S.L.E. in pregnancy with -brief review of the literatures.
